May be, maybe not. Sessions was an incredible Senator and as clean as the driven snow; but what can a few good people do against a gargantuan machine? Until there is a leader - ie, President - even good numbers of good guys cannot change things.

This a fact that often people forget. Remember the Tea Party in DC? How many actual millions? What can millions of people do against a government which is bad? Only two ways to fix it:

1. A president like Trump

2. Armed revolution which means the mil has to be on the revolutionaries’ side.

There is no other way.
