I always wondered if the “Purge” movie franchise stole their idea from Festival.

Festival is a tale as old as time and much told.

The Island of Dr Moreau.

The Lord of the Flies.

The Story of Adam and Eve and the Garden.

Probably quite a few more that I can't of off-hand.
