I don’t know if it’s a hard and fast rule, some do, some don’t. I just remember my dad drilling it into me :)

Aw, my dad drilled it into me by thumping me on my head with his finger! Me, an adorable little girl... next thing I feel is his finger wacked upside my head hahahahaha. I got him back a few times. I’m bad! I once took my little music box to church with many promises not to wind it up or otherwise make any noise. As I sat there and looked at him with a smile on my face, I wound that music box up, click by click. Then let it go!!!! Another time, I begged him to let me take his bag of marbles to church hahahaha. Old, all wood church. I freed the marbles during prayer. Both spankings were worth it lol.
