WARREN, Mich. (FOX 2) - Saturday, the manager of Sagano Japanese Steak House & Bistro contacted Fox 2 to say that a friend of 10 people seen leaving without paying, took care of the groups $530 bill. The payment came after Fox 2 ran a story Friday, depicting the group walking out of the restaurant before their tab was settled.
(Original story below):
Party of 10 orders food. Party of 10 eats food. Party of 10 leaves.
Another dine and dash in metro Detroit has left a Japanese steakhouse and bistro out more than $500 after a large group decided they weren't interested in paying for their food on Mother's Day. And make no mistake, this was no accident.
That's what a Warren police corporal said while assessing the surveillance footage of the group eating. The owner of the steakhouse agrees.
"They know they didn't pay," said manager Yukio Oki.
Oki runs the Sagano Japanese Steak House & Bistro, located on Dequindre Street. He said party came in around 8 p.m. and included three small kids and a baby. Despite the connotation of a "Dine and Dash," the video surveillance is anything but.

I guess you couldn’t read this line all by it’s lonesome (and at the end...) ‘No excuse to leave without paying, but also no excuse not to present the bill TO be paid.’
But hey, read into it whatever you please.
Are you a ticket walker too?
Some people wonder why restaurants don’t deliver to certain neighborhoods.
I’m sorry you feel the need to project on everyone; as a business owner, I expect employees to perform their job, including presenting the bill to be paid, and seeing to it that it is collected.
That you seem to find some strange offense at the expectation that a business also follows one of the foundational credos of business: You’ll never get paid if you don’t present the bill - well, stop trying to project your problems on me.
Simply ask for your check if it does not arrive in a timely manner.
How hard is that to get thru your head?
Dining and dashing has become a very common activity for somalis in Minnesota. They have a getaway car waiting for them outside. Even when the servers and the management know what is coming, it seems they cannot stop them and they always get away.
Old article. We are in the middle of a pandemic lol
Lol! Now you tell me! I was on my way to the only open Japanese Steak house where your $350 bill will be paid by a stranger!
Are you referring to "Canadians"?
