Last month I traveled to England, visiting Stratford upon Avon, Portsmouth, York and a few other towns. I went through London but spent very little time there.
The overwhelming number of people I saw were .... English. Lots of English. Also some Scots and a very cool Irishman with whom I conversed over breakfast at a pub.
There was a smattering of the followers of the ROP, but far fewer than I had been led to believe.
It was heartening.
I was in London two years and saw primarily only Anglo Saxon type looking people. Of course I was only in tourist areas, perhaps I was only seeing other tourists.
You happened to visit some of the whitest towns and cities in the country. The asian muslims are mostly concentrated in London, the midlands and the old mill towns of Lancashire and Yorkshire. Ethnic minorities don’t have much of a presence in the smaller towns and villages, or in the West Country.
