26 Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself.
I neglected to reference this...This verse tells us that Christ does not repeat his sacrifice over and over since he would have to suffer each time...The Catholics however claim Jesus was only sacrificed once but it is ongoing, for 2000 years...Meaning, Christ has been suffering with incomprehensible pain continually now for 2000 years, which is ridiculous...
For one thing, that would put Him under the continual power of sin and the enemy. He would be always dying, but never dead, having shed His blood for the forgiveness of sins, and would not be raised again to defeat sin and death everywhere.
For another, He would continue to be the suffering servant instead of the coming, conquering King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
What He's doing in heaven right now is not perpetually suffering and dying forever, but this......

Acts 5:30-31 The God of our fathers raised Jesus, whom you killed by hanging him on a tree. God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.
Romans 8:34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.

Hebrews 10:8-14 When he said above, “You have neither desired nor taken pleasure in sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings” (these are offered according to the law), then he added, “Behold, I have come to do your will.” He does away with the first in order to establish the second. And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.
Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
1 Peter 3:21-22 Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to him.
Satan would love nothing more than to rob the cross of its power and Jesus of His rightful place. We would not have the means to either withstand or defeat the work of the enemy and his minions in our lives.
Satan would not want the world presented a crowned and victorious Savior and Lord.
