Jesus is all we need for salvation.
We come to God only through HIM.
No church died for anyone.
Your opinion otherwise is no more relevant than Peterson's.

My good metmom: I guess, to be consistent, a faith-only person would say the Good Samaritan was on the road to hell, because
- He was the wrong religion
- He did not accept Jesus as his Personal Lord and Savior
- He didn't talk about God at all, but
- he just tried to be compassionate and decent to the bleeding, stripped man he found beat up on the side of the road.
Useless works!
The baffling part is, why did Jesus tell us to go and do likewise?
