The Regina Leader-Post? I actually lived in Regina (Saskatchewan) a long time ago. While listening to CBC Radio on SiriusXM recently, I heard someone mention the "Regina Monologues". I don't think they were referring to the Simpson's episode of the same name (with the Queen and the actual voice of Tony Blair), but to something more recent and indigenous.
And yes, unlike the Latin name for the Queen, the name of the city is pronounced with a long "i".
I think in England they pronounce it with the long ‘i’ too. The funny thing is, the va-jay-jay word they pronounce with the short ‘i’.
