Its interesting to see POTUS use the threat of rising tariffs on Mexico to get a grip on illegal immigration. I don't think a district judge in Hawaii is going to be ruling that this is an illegal executive action. If there is such a ruling the judge should be laughed out of court.

Congress used to have the tariff authority but its been turned over to the executive branch probably in the interest of global trade pacts. BMW just built a large plant in Mexico. lol. Mexico will probably retaliate and it should be fun to watch that go down. Best President ever. He did say Mexico will pay for the wall.

I don’t see a losing angle here. If we have a trade defecit with them they lose. I’m betting I can work around any price increases pretty easily. It will also further encourage US companies to move back.

Will Mexico do the right thing? I don’t have the answer.
