I'm no Constitutional scholar but my guess is the the framers left the definition of "high crimes" and "misdemeanors" intentionally vague so as to allow the House,and not the courts,to determine what qualifies under those labels.

I suspect that if impeachment was pursued by the Rats the Federal courts would reject any challenge that DJT might lodge with a "leave us out of this" decision.

If it is done unconstitutionally, then wouldn’t the courts have to become involved? I don’t know, that is why I ask.
