A lawyer once told me, “It doesn’t matter whether the laws are firmly on your side or not. Once you go before a judge you are taking a fifty/fifty crap shoot.” The House impeaches and the Senate tries. With senators like Romney and Collins and the way they shamelessly trade votes for pork, it’s a crap shoot there as well. Another thing the lawyer said is, “There is no justice and if there is, it’s an accident.”
“It’s a crap shoot”. Not really. It sounds like you think a Romney or 2 turncoats could determine it. It takes 67 votes — meaning Dems would need 20+ GOP votes.
The legal system is designed to produce ‘justice’ but it is imperfect. All that you can really guarantee is a “decision”.
