Marine One landed in Tokyo at 1:27 p.m. and POTUS entered the Beast a couple of minutes later. Pool is following in vans in a loop and did not see him board, but your pooler glimpsed him alone the back of the Beast on the way out of the landing zone, wearing a red hat and pullover.
Onward to the hotel.
Subject: Travel pool report #6: Hotel arrival
Tokyo, Japan
On the way back to the hotel, POTUS shared what looked like a bit of golf chat:
“Great fun and meeting with Prime Minister @AbeShinzo. Numerous Japanese officials told me that the Democrats would rather see the United States fail than see me or the Republican Party succeed - Death Wish!”
And, confirming an earlier report by Fox that POTUS would delay trade deals:
“Great progress being made in our Trade Negotiations with Japan. Agriculture and beef heavily in play. Much will wait until after their July elections where I anticipate big numbers!”
POTUS arrived back at the hotel at 1:44 pm. People on the street were waving Japanese and American flags and held large signs saying Japan supports Trump. (Attached)
Also attached is a photo of the President’s Cup on display in the hotel. It has a big eagle on top.
