That’s my husbands family history.
My ancestors came from the Brie Province in France, and
yes they made Brie cheese.
I went to Canada, where my (not sure how many greats back)
Grandfather signed on to a ship to go to the New World.
I went to Canada and followed their trail that eventually led them to Maine.
I drove up the Gaspe Peninsula where many of my ancestors lived and worked.
It is just a beautiful place.

I believe that is the area we stopped at a B&B when a child We traveled with an aunt & uncle and ate our evening meal in the home where we stayed The teenage daughter who was learning English, was our server. When she came for our desert order she asked if we wanted chocolate cobbler or blueberry pudding My uncle took charge and ordered cobbler for all. For years my aunt (who was a teacher) wrote her for years, helping her with her English. Later when a daughter was born she was named after my aunt. One of my favorite memories traveling. Also the first time I fell in love with the coast of Maine.
