I loved Lake Havasu City.
Was there when it was 118 degrees @ 11 in the a.m. and I was the only one out ( or so it seemed )shooting hoops. My gym shoes were getting “sticky”.
Near as I can figure, living gets done in the early a.m. and from the evening on, in the summer.
Been trying to get to AZ low desert since forever...wife not so much.
Right now enjoying a chilly 76 degrees in TX.
We moved to Havasu on Aug.4th on a Fri., had made arrangements and electric was supposed to be turned on but wasn’t.
We moved in stuff in the heat, dying, just before 5 we ran down to electric company, I knew I would not last the weekend in the heat.
Can’t remember why they hadn’t gotten out to turn on electric but they did send someone right over.
I wore shorts and no jacket all winter, got funny looks but it felt good to me as being from the mountains loved the winter weather in Havasu.
Going to get to 98° here in TX where I am, realfeel 103°.
