A ‘remittance tax’ would fall upon the poor. Be very resented by the Mexican poor.
I don’t see how that responsibility falls upon the American taxpayer. I am assuming you mean the Mexican poor.
Also it will fall upon those who come here legally, following the rules. A small adminisstrative-type tax is a good idea.
I love the idea of GM, Ford and such having an incentive to lobby the Mexican gov to reduce illegal migration!
