I am speaking out today because investigation is complete and the AG has made the report public. The office is closing and I am resigning from DOJ to return to private life. I will make a few remarks, but the written work should speak for itself.

As alleged in an indictment, the Russians launched an attack to hack into computers and networks used by Clinton campaign. Leaked through fake online identities and through wikileaks. Timed to damage candidate and disrupt the election. Russian citizens posed as Americans.

Obstruction, strikes at the core of the gov efforts to find the truth and hold people accountable. Report has two parts, 1st details russian influence, including a discussion of campaign response and our conclusion that there was insufficient evidence to charge

On obstruction- order appointing authorized us to investifgate things that COULD obstruct. If we had confidence the president did not comitt a crime we would have said so. We did not make that decision. States that a potus cant be charged with a crime while in office

SC part of DOJ, charging the president with a crime not an option that we could consider. 1st the opinion explicity permits the investigation of a sitting president, among other things it could be used if there were coconspirators. Also, the constiution requires impeachment

It would be unfair to accuse someone of a crime when there can be no court resolution. From them we concluded that we would not reach a determination about whether the potus committed a crime. We will not comment on any other conclusions

The AG concluded it was appropriate to provide report to congress. We don’t question AG faith in making report public. I wont be speaking again, no one has told me I can or shouldnt speak further. No testimony would go beyond our report.

Mueller basically just said “hey congress, if you need me to give you the OK for impeachment, by all means go ahead and try it”. Mueller is a deep state plant. These people are in trouble and they know it. Game on.
