Motorcade pulled into Akasaka Palace gates at 1028 am. This is the state guest house. We are now rolling on the brick road toward a large white French style building. Us and Japanese flags are flying from the balcony

Subject: Pool 6 - palace bilat description

Pool is holding in an ornate room full of gold trim, mirrors and marble columns. Two gilded chairs are set up beside flowers on a small table. The US and Japanese flags are set behind the chairs as is a smaller chair. Trump and Abe are set to begin meeting here at 11 am local time.

Press is behind red ropes at the back.
This is called the Room of the Rising Sun.
The Japanese press is on one side, US on the other.

There are two large glass chandeliers and a painting on the ceiling of a goddess, Aurora, the goddess off dawn, in a chariot led by three horses. The sun is behind her.

Many in the room feel it resembles The aesthetic of Mar-a-Lago, or vice verse.
