Subject: Travel pool report #11: Hibachi restaurant
Tokyo, Japan
Pool entered a hibachi restaurant at 6:10 pm or so after running the length of the motorcade parked on a busy street in the Roppongi neighborhood.
Once we entered, pool saw POTUS take a few food items and then speak briefly. The prime minister and I talked a lot about trade, about military and various other things. He said expects tomorrow will be similarly productive.
That was an incredible evening at sumo, POTUS said. Sumo wrestling.
We bought that beautiful trophy, he added, which youll have hopefully for many hundreds of years.
Your pooler could not make out the name of the place but attached a photo of it in case youd like to google.
Pool was ushered out at 6:18 pm and we are holding at a nearby restaurant. Thanks to Sebastian Smith for help grabbing quotes.

Subject: Travel pool report #12: Restaurant departure
Tokyo, Japan,
Pool is rolling to the Palace Hotel at 7:31 p.m.
Note: The picture I shared earlier was not the name of the restaurant but a certificate of excellence. The name of the restaurant is called Inakaya. Thanks to Rihoko Akiyama of TV Tokyo for the info.
Another note: From hundreds of feet away, FLOTUS’s dress looked red. At close range, it was pink.
