Records can be sealed for a number of reasons. All it takes is for a judge to agree. In cases I have read about it is usually to protect the accused so his career isn’t damaged. Why would you do this for one person and not another? My guess is because he could afford the attorney to ask for it and he was famous enough to get it. You can bet that if you or I wanted sealed records for a similar offense, it wouldn’t happen.
