A definite possibility; no doubt that they had to lend some legitimacy to usurping an election with the apparent loser. Of course they had their lunatic fanatic media to help sell the grab of power... the media would just keep bleating that Hildy had actually won the election and that DJT had cheated in order to overturn her win. That ploy would have signaled the end of the Constitution.

I'm right there too along these lines. The deep state would have found a way to get Hillary installed, most likely through this scenario. They would have used all their media assets to convince Americans this was the right thing to do since since the "Russians" helped Trump in to office.

If the corrupt Italian intelligence had succeeded in planting the "Russian hacked" emails on the Trump-related servers, that would have been a very tough obstacle to overcome when discovered.
