My first computer had only 28k. Lots of soldering on those 1024k chips. I DID need more than that. I built it from a Digital Group kit in 1978. It was the first with a Zilog Z80. Wired up an old TV as my monitor. Still have it, but haven't fired it up in ages. Caps are probably shot.

Similar to when an insurance agent who shared our office space got an IBM with a 20 meg hard drive. We calculated it would take decades to use all the space.
