I hope everyone has been able to enjoy Spring migration, when it finally decided to become somewhat Spring-like.

A week later Eastern Screech-Owl - grey morph in same cavity. Someone else photographed both in the hole together shortly after.

Thanks, that coconut fiber is perfect, lets air through to keep things dry. Lots of traffic today with the parent birds, trying to keep everyone fed. Meanwhile we lost a bluebird nest late yesterday with 5 eggs to wrens. Bummer!

My parents have a barn with lots of swallows. I always liked barn swallows. Their chirping, beauty, and bug-eating is a bonus.

The tree sallow has one sing that sounds like water bubbling, we have enjoyed that for years. Plus they are not too afraid of us.

Thanks, hubby took another picture yesterday, 7days since the first one and from the same position, the chicks have really grown and have primary feathers so we are expecting a nice showing of fledglings in a few days. Still looks like at least 5.
