Actually THE MILLER DECISION by the SCOTUS states that heavy, “items of great value”, “crew-served” & “special weapons” are to be ISSUED by the government to “the militia”, IF the militia NEEDS such items as heavy artillery, bombs, rockets, pyrotechnics, armed vehicles, etc. for their “defense of city, state & nation”. = The SCOTUS found in MILLER that it was “unreasonable” to REQUIRE that individual members of the common militia would have to provide such expensive items “to the common defense” IF/WHEN the member reported for militia duty.
