Like Band of Brothers, I’ll watch it any time it comes on. On the other hand, I’ll watch German war movies too. They were the good guys after all, in their own minds.
My two favorites are Untergang and Look Who’s back!. In Look Who’s Back, Hitler disappears from the bunker at the end of WWII and is immediately transported to the same location in modern day Berlin which is like a plaza or something now. At first people laugh at him, then they start listening to him, and soon he’s filling modern day stadiums. Not that it’s pro Hitler. . . quite the contrary. It’s a warning.
