Had an extreme bad reaction to penicillin, the Dr said I should never eat Blue Cheese, I could get a similar reaction. Not going to make friends with Blue Cheese.

IDK, my husband is allergic to penicillin and he loves ( and eats) blue cheese in its many forms. Make sure your doctor didn’t receive a racial preference degree.

I am allergic to penicillin, so are my 2 son’s and my mom. I can eat blue cheese occasionally, if the first bite tingles my tongue I can’t eat it that day. But I can never eat Roquefort and Gorgonzola. I was at one place that said blue cheese on the menu, they lied it was Roquefort and with the first bit my lips swelled to touch my nose and chin, then my cheeks, then my eyes starting closing shut with the swelling. EPIpen to the rescue. My mom is the same as me, but both boy’s can’t eat even blue cheese occasionally.

My reaction to penicillin put me in the hospital for 3 days, feeling like an elephant was sitting on my chest, the nurses giving me shots of adrenaline and strapping me to the bed.

I would rather be safe than sorry with blue cheese.
