I'm curious to know if granting a pardon on a state crime would have any bearing on federal deportation order.

It depends, if you are a legally admitted permanent resident alien then a criminal conviction for most crimes would put your legal immigration status in jeopardy.

A pardon would remove the pretext for a deportation proceeding.

If they are in the country illegally they its makes no difference and they can be removed.
