My son'e team pulled a triple play last night. Amazing in soft ball. The ball took a hard bounce in front of my pitching son. He jumped up and caught it and threw to second base. His short stop was then on second and threw it to first. The first baseman ran toward home and the runner had already started running. The first baseman threw the ball into home and got the third runner out. The first baseman is really only a home run hitter and he doesn't like playing on the field. He's usually a liability out there but they were a couple men short and had to play him.

Triple plays are rare in baseball. Softball almost impossible.

My son'e team pulled a triple play last night. That's a great play! And you're right, very difficult in softball with the short bases.
