My son and I talked about his first couple of weeks in soccer. My son is 6'5" and was always big for his age and very athletic. At age 5 he begged to play on the church soccer team of 7 year old and older. We took him to the field and he sat in the middle of the field and hid his face and would peak up. Parents gave us the evil eye. Second week he begged to go again. So we put the shine guards on again and took him. He ran up and down the field just looking at the action. Again, the evil eye. Third week he was out running as if he'd been playing for quite some time.

Sounds like he figured it out at his own pace. Good for him! A child enjoys his activities more if we just “allow them”. It took me fifteen minutes to figure out I’d turned the sprayer off last time it was used. Got a bit more done. It’s gonna be warm today. Must change into jeans to weed eat. Think I’ll wait awhile.
