Oh my... I came to Maha Rushie the long way. Grew up in a FDR home life, not really knowing what FDR stood for but heard the name frequently. Became a union carpenter and towed the union line. Got a job with a contractor wherein I was the sole employee-helper, and rode with the boss in his work van many days to the jobsite, with Rush being played on the radio. Loe and behold, as I came into my own as a young man, I found that Rush was speaking to things that mattered to me. Things that were important and defined me as a human being. My values were being expressed in the spoken word. It really wasn’t very long until I was a Rush convert! From that day forward, I haven’t looked back! Praise The Lord for speaking to my heart.
I also remember fondly, of watching Rush on TV, and thinking he a bit foolish or over the top, but unable to look away. The seeds were already being planted unbeknownst to me.

I lived in Sacramento and got hooked on Rush before he went National. Like you I found he was verbalizing my gut beliefs. He was the first to capture the thoughts of the every man. Common sense ruled supreme on his program. Would there have been a Trump if there had not first been a Rush? Rush was in some ways a John the Baptist.
