I wish that they hadn’t gone with such a cheap trope. Kill the head guy and his entire army dies. That’s just lazy.

We pretty much know where this is going after last weeks episode. All men must die. Literally, all toxic white makes must die. Like in every Hollywood flick, all men bad, women rule!!!
I can see it now. Jon Snow will be Mr. “Let’s talk truce with Cersi.” He’ll go to Kings Landing (against the advice of the all knowing wymn) to do this and get the Ned treatment. And then Sansa and the rest of the wise “told ya so” women will win the day while Jamie and Tyrion continue to apologize for being so alpha.
Then Rey will make a guest appearance to kill Kylo Ren and apologize for her drunk, bitter Luke Master who she has schooled on toxic masculinity.
But a female did it so it makes the lazy writing so convenient.
They destroyed a ring after mucho effort that took what, two ages?
Of course, if only Tolkien hadn’t finished the books. Then, Hollywood could have reimagined it!! Sauron could have been an evil Orange dude. Frodo could have been a chick and the whole war of the ring could have been over with some super training and a magic ninja move. Then, Queen Aragona could have married her overweight Elven lesbian lover and everyone could have reveled in a world without toxic masculinity.
This episode should be fairly quiet. Bury the dead, marshal the army that is left. Dragon girl has to figure out if she is fighting to win the throne for herself or for her boyfriend.
How they can expect to defeat the 20k strong Golden Company without the little Mormont girl is beyond me....:)
I don’t think tonight’s episode will be quiet. Too many main characters survived the previous episode.
John and Danerys marry and rule together.

Existential threat to humanity waiting millenia to return and completely defeated in first battle...

They dug themselves in too big of a hole. His army was too unstoppable for this ever end.
That’s not as much of a problem as he gets defeated in his first real battle.. pathetic.
Planning for eons and you get completely defeated in your first battle...
Humanity never on the brink... would have been far better had humanity truly felt like it was on the verge of iradication. Time slice night king winning his way across Westeros, running roughshod over all until finally a desperate lest ditch effort defeats him...
This thing was a joke.. existential threat to humanity, and beat in his first battle... not only that, but the majority of the characters survive.
Does Dragon girl look like a sharer to you?
Plus, they have the issue of the North’s desire for independence to deal with.
Do they take Jamie with them when they march south? He was good in the last battle but will they trust him against his sister?
But the dead were dead. It was his magic that animated them. Break the spell and they should go back to being dead!
Was Tolkien being lazy when Eowyn slew The Witch King?

You forget, Sir, it is an alternate universe. All Jon could read is Mondale’s Axioms of War. This would explain the pooch screw that was their last plan.
