Perhaps this is a set up for an easily won slander case. As part of DJT’s crew, Barr may be encouraged to follow through with litigation.

Comments made by Congress people in Congressional hearings and on the floor are privileged, I believe. What that means is, they can’t be the subject of a lawsuit. Kind of like how they can’t be arrested while they are on the way to Congress. They cover all their bases. They are fearless with the lies they tell when they are inside the building.
