Upon taking office in December of 2010, the freshly-minted Hawai’i Governor set about with his "All Areas Access Pass" to getting the so-called “malicious” and “distracting” “birther issue” resolved. He had spent months during his campaign committing that he would get to the bottom of the birth certificate question, which many had attributed in part to his electoral success. He spent a lot of time during his first several weeks unsuccessfully trying to locate Obama’s birth certificate. After looking behind all the desks at the Hawaii Department of Health (HDOH) and emptying all the waste baskets and even reportedly arming himself with search warrants, the governor famously told friends that it just wasn’t to be found anywhere among the Hawai’i government records. All this, well, despite the immediate past HDOH Director having twice officially attested that she had personally found and inspected Obama’s original birth record, and that on at least one occasion she described taking with her the state official then in charge of vital records so that person could also view it and attest to its existence. Note well, that former Director said Obama’s original birth record was half written and half typed. (Except for signatures, the Long Form Birth Certificate (LFBC) Obama would later present was entirely typed.) In any event, it’s a mystery why neither the vital records official nor the former Director, who is a 38-year Hawai’i resident and practicing medical doctor in Honolulu, could step forward to help the governor in his grail quest to find what the previous Director surely must have left in a limited-access, safe-and-secure place at the HDOH, as she had left the Director’s office only a month earlier.
Immediately after Loretta Fuddy entered office, like any good Mom whose kid can’t find their sock, she methodically started the search right back at the beginning. She did some straightening up and sorting out their jumbled offices and certificate registry books and voilà! She was able to locate President Obama's LFBC, watch it be copied, then hand off two copies of it to Obama’s Perkins Coie personal attorney, whose company’s headquarters—coincidentally the same company through which the Democratic National Committee also funneled money to Fusion GPS for the infamous Trump dossier—is just across the lake from Loretta’s old digs in Bellevue (where the CIA’s west coast office is also conveniently located).
It was probably his COLB, was it not, not the LFBC?
In any case, the Hollywood Reporter said he was old buddies with NA - then said there is NO Obamb birth certificate.
Later on, he denied making this claim - even when old clips of him saying it were played back to him.
I suppose something happened in between his first report and his later denial.
