You're right about that. I live along Canadian National's trackage, which I would think would be considered the most important north-south trackage in the country. Because it goes from the Canadian border down to New Orleans and Mobile through Chicago, the most important US rail hub, I can't believe the government let them buy the pieces that make it up. The idea of a foreign county owning something so important to this country's infrastructure/transportation/business is abhorrent to me. Thank goodness it's not a nationalized company anymore; the thought of Trudeau owning it makes me sick. It's bad enough that Bill Gates owns a big chunk.

But that then leads to the issue of China controlling -- I forget which -- the Port of Los Angeles or Port of Long Beach.

Probably nothing Trump can do about CN or CP, but he needs to do something about the port. Now.
