Envious of your opportunity to be with your dad. Miss mother desperately. This group has become an extended family for many. It’s always such a pleasure to see familiar names appearing over and over again. Even when we just lurk, it’s as though a low-voiced conversation is happening just across the room, and it’s impossible not to smile at hearing the chatter of people enjoying one another or in passionate argument.
Dad and I were blessed to be able to keep my Mom
happy and smiling through the end some years back.
She suffered from Alzheimer’s.
We learned a lot, and showed the Hospice folks a thing or two.
They told us we likely kept her with us an extra year.
Prayers likely had something to do with that, too.
Thanks, Mairdie.
I am pleased to be counted among your extended family.
Happy Easter to you, and many more, with us!
