I don’t see where on page 11 of the report the scope memo confirms the dossier as the tool used to justify the SC.
Other than that, fairly straightforward.
Just A Note
Over the last few days, I've been busy with my latest project - influenza. 24/7 the battle to breathe, sleep and stop coughing was waged. Yesterday I received a tip to have a look at a conflict in hopes I could identify middle ground or explain views of both sides etc. I knew I shouldn't FLU and POST at the same time but I got a little cocky and thought I should try. Yup. Wrong.
From the outset, I had no idea what the friction was about. I did ask via pm "Is this a religious debate?" (because I really had no idea) "and if so, can it be taken off-thread?" It's my observation that many times friction resolves itself if all parties get to "say it" at least once, then when it becomes repetitive or requires advanced research, it's often ready for PM.
I thought it was pro/con re homosexuality and I didn't think we'd ever solve that debate on thread or anywhere else. I had a pillow crease running down the side of my face and was mouth-breathing when I figured out that the conflict featured two people on the same side of the issue of homosexuality. I swiftly concluded that I needed to spend more quality time with my new friends Ms. Fever Reducer and Mr. Cough Medicine and climbed head first under the covers.
Later that night, I realized (I think) that it wasn't about homosexuality but the impact(s) of posting a picture of "Mayor Pete" kissing his partner in the back of a car. I know of no FR rules which would prohibit that picture and I believe it will be everywhere as the candidate gains stature. I think some felt that posting the picture was EXPOSING a candidate's lifestyle while others felt posting it was ESPOUSING his lifestyle. I am unable to understand the later view.
I am not being intentionally obtuse; I just don't get it and have encountered it once before (I didn't get it then, either).
I received profanity laced hate-mail which either asserted that I had something to do with the picture's removal (I did not) or perhaps that I forbade the posting of the picture (I did not). I explained to that person I was not involved with it.
To those wishing to "move on" (stop seeing the same picture) at this point, I encourage patience as I believe we'll see that picture posted quite a bit now that there was a perception that posting rights were being infringed upon - people commonly assert their rights by exercising their rights.
I promise not to post while flu-ing in the future (fingers crossed behind my back). Meanwhile, the curtain is going up and the show is about to begin.*cough* *cough*
