I LIKE Mike and Karen Pence. I really don’t care that he’s so overtly religious. I think he really believes what he’s saying and I respect him for being straight. My only objections to him following onto Trump are that I don’t believe he’s a fighter, or that he would see the larger picture that Trump sees. Trump is a colossus that stands for a moment on the world stage and forces the world into his image of what is necessary. And I completely believe in his vision. I just fear that, like Alexander the Great or Lincoln, there is not another colossus in the wings to take Trump’s place for another century. Not Pence, decent man though he seems to be.

Can’t help feeling sad that someone sees no light in their future. What you WANT is for the justice system to be so reliable that people know that if they act badly, there will be bad consequences and so they mitigate their actions. As long as bad people think they can get away with bad actions, they will. All so very sad.
