OK, in any event Q is a part of NSA, and would have predated our beloved Q. His name may well be derived from the NSA directorate, or from Q level clearance, as I think was mentioned very early in this operation. Wasn’t he called Q clearance anon at one point?
I believe you are correct. But it’s always seemed to me that the Q Directorate in NSA was a better fit for “our” Q.
