Yeah, it was the rear.

The 18 wheeler I was passing (And DID pass!) was probably
doing 70mph or so...

50 miles from Winnemucca.

Air was probably gone before the first revolution.
I saw it coming, knew it hit, knew it was bad.
Completed the pass and pulled over. Wasn’t even
really wobbly until 15mph or so and pulling off
onto the shoulder.

Got off the bike and took a look.

Then my heart started beating fast.

The Lord wasn’t done with me yet!

Wow, He really wasn't done with ya. I don't know how you completed the pass with no rear tire. My bike at the time (a '71 Honda 450) immediately started fishtailing. I was just trying to get over the narrow, traffic congested, two-lane overpass at night, to a shoulder.

That ABS stuff really works!
