I've purchased three but my first, is my favorite. It is a simple traditional Armalite Eagle Arms AR-15, still original, added a Nikon P-223 scope, and handle. I shoot it accurately to 600 yards and can hit a steel target at 800 yards but inconsistent with off-the-shelf ammo.

Bought my AR-15 from a local home-based dealer, retired Air Force armorer, for under $600. Scope from Amazon, handle from dealer. Added a sling, soft case, and Plano All Weather Tactical Case (for airline travel). Picked up a Total investment Under $900.

Eagle-15, Model 15EA01, https://www.armalite.com/product/15ea01-eagle-arms/

Nikon P-223 BDC 600, Model 8497.
