New Zealand is now recognized as one of the world’s most advanced beekeeping countries and is a leader in several important fields. Maybe HRC’s comment was to signal the others to visit NZ quickly.
This may be a stretch, but reading this reminds me of Edmund Hilliary, a New Zealander, and a beekeeper. Most will remember when HRC claimed she was named after the famous mountain climber. Problem is, few outside NZ knew the name when she was born in 1947 as he did not become world famous until six years later after becoming the first person to reach the top of Mount Everest.
