Notice that the people in the restaurant weren’t particularly upset at the older man being beaten by two thugs. Their outrage appeared when the older guy pulled out his gun. IMHO the man showed remarkable control. That’s the kind of gun control I can get behind.

It's not that easy to keep your wits about you in times of stress and duress when the adrenaline is flowing.

His demeanor and the way he handles the pistol make me think he is experienced and has dealt with violence at first hand before.
