A Chinese woman who breached security at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort had a stash of electronics in her hotel room, including a signal detector, nine USB drives and five SIM cards for mobile phones, @JonathanJLevin reports.
A signal detector is used to detect hidden video or audio-recording devices.
Yujing Zhang’s defense lawyer says she took many of the electronic devices directly to Secret Service at Mar-a-Lago for review, and willingly went through at least one metal detector.
US Secret Service director Ralph Alles was asked to plan his departure 11 days ago — prior to the arrest of a Chinese national carrying spyware at Mar-a-Lago, per @margarettalev.
His exit is not related to the security breach at Mar-a-Lago, WH aide tells @justinsink.
