I will give Rahm “The Godfather” Emanuel credit for standing on some sort of principle here. After all, the Mafia did have certain redeeming principles. But it is likely he sees that, given the chance, when these PC lunatics are done with us they will be coming for the like of him, and he is smart enough to start now getting out in front of that.

If I stole cigars from a convenience store, beat up the elderly clerk, and tried to murder the cop who stopped me, with his own gun, and then ran and didn’t stop and got shot to death, NO MOVEMENT WOULD HAVE BEEN CREATED. No white people would swear I had my hands up or that I never stole anything or wrestled with a cop in his car.
And if I faked a crime against myself at the hands of racist nonwhites, walking around with a footlong and a noose, EVEN MY OWN WHITE PEOPLE would not believe me. No matter how many times I was given a mic to say it on the news. Which I wouldn’t be.

Weren’t some or all of these *felony* counts? Wire fraud and mail fraud are federal felony crimes, IIRC.
Rahm may be looking at a particularly ‘hot’ Chicago summer and positioning himself well away from the more activist wing of his party.
This guy has to sue the police in order to prove his innocence.
That is very interesting. This Tina Tchen is the one who took over at the SPLC and kicked out Moe Dees and the rest. Everyone has been YEE-HAAing over the events at the SPLC, but I am a little concerned. They have one half BILLION dollars in the bank. Could it be that Dees got pushed out because he was not radical enough, and what does the new management intend to do with that money?
