They were so poor when in the Gov Mansion in Ark they didn’t own a car. However, Bill, when asked a few years later if he remembered a $100,000 check found in the trunk of an abandoned car (made out to him) said he could not recall ever receiving the check. Gov salary was @ 85,000$ at the time.........

And the garage guy who opened the trunk of that abandoned car was shortly thereafter involved in a fatal accident where his car unexpectedly accelerated across the street and crashed into utilities pole.
