I worked on the basement floor of a hospital. The morgue was across the hall. I never saw anything, but all of my overnight staff had seen or heard things. They would just call out for “Martha” to knock it off, they had to work. And it would stop.

I was their supervisor for about two years before I heard about Martha. I asked each group that worked overnights and they all “knew” Martha.

My sister is a nurse and she tells stories about the VA in Johnson City TN. My sister-in-law is a vampire, really a phlebotomists and she has worked at several hospitals and most have a haunting story she has encountered.

My wife works at a hospital now in finance and the finance offices are located in an old residence next to the hospital. Her office is located next to the storage room for the seven or eight people who work in that house and she got to noticing she was hearing stuff move around in there all the time and yet people had to walk by her office door to get to the storage room and she wasn’t seeing anyone walk by. She finally asked her supervisor, what’s the deal with the storage room and the supervisor got a strange look on her face for a second and my wife said I hear noises in there all the time and the supervisor, said in a matter of fact tone, oh it’s haunted, but it stays in there, everybody has heard it, don’t worry about it. My wife is like okay...
