George Conway went to Yale with Justice Kavanaugh. Together they were not only friends in college, but went on to join the same law firm as Kenneth Starr.
Kavanaugh and Conway were part of the small circle of lawyers known as “The Elves”, who remained for a time rather clandestine and in a Pro Bono arrangement associated themselves with the Paula Jones lawyers and their case against Bill Clinton and his Arkansas scandal involving Paula.
Anecdotally, When Starr was called before the Judiciary Committee after the Blue Dress certainly nailed down that Clinton had committed perjury in that Video interrogation for the Grand Jury, it was Bret Kavanaugh among others, who sat directly behind Kenneth Starr on the front row.
