As a baby boomer—we had the COLD WAR and Nuke War to worry about. Anyone who lived though the Cuban Crisis—where JFK almost blew up the world will know that it dominated public group think. Just watch old Twilight Zone shows—Nukes were a Major theme. The young people have no idea what this was like. They worry about losing the internet (it would be the first to vanish if the balloon goes up). Even North Korea could manage a EMP attack.

I was too young to understand most of that...but I could tell my parents were worried. I also remember playing in a couple of the neighbor’s (worthless) concrete bomb shelters...small, cold, wet, dark places.
