That sounds ridiculous, so I Googled "do cows give more milk aligned north south and, sure enough, there's a lot of evidence that cows do sense magnetic and electric fields. One paper:

So in an indoor farming situation well-placed Nd:B magnets would increase yield by orienting the magnetic field to however the barn was originally built.
