They also cant go 90 days at a job.
F-ing pussies
There's an app for that :-)
How would millennials even know? How did folks feel getting drafted and killed in large numbers in the 40s, the 50s, the 60s, or even the 70s. Millennials will never know. So shut up, he explained.
There's no easy way out.
That builds stress.
Coddled, ahistorical, first-world wimps.
What would you expect from a bunch of people who think recorded history began in the Clinton Administration?
Like living through the Black Plague, American Civil War, Great Depression and WW II weren’t stressful.
I hate it when I write something on Twitter and it doesn’t get a like? That is SOOOO totally D-Day soldier type of stressful!
Plenty if Millennials serves in Afghanistan and Iraq fwiw.
And what would the 20th century have looked like to those in the 19th, or the 18th before them?
Rational thinking removes lots of stress. They ought to try it sometime.
Emotional restraint training might help, too. It could be packaged as Zen for Snowflakes to make it more hip and woke.
No mention of responsibilities at work. Or taking care of families. Or retirement, planning for the future, college planning for their kids, or really, *any* adult responsibilities at all.
"Arguing with partner" would be a concern for me, because it never happens... so I'd wonder what was wrong and do everything I could to fix it. Otherwise? The rest are trivial inconveniences at worst.
"Doing Dishes"? "What to wear"? WBill Jr is going to rule the world, if these are major stressors for his generation.
Take heart that global warming and the Trump presidency aren’t there.
I've done the following:
My phone is now always in "do not disturb" mode (I have a few key contacts that can bypass it). So I don't get a ping every time a message comes in. I check messages at my own convenience, usually once an hour during business hours and once every few hours outside of business hours. So far, the earth has not stopped rotating and I'm actually more productive at work as I'm not stopping what I'm doing and reacting to every single email and text that comes in.
Deleted all social media accounts except Twitter and Linkedin. The rest, who needs them? Just noise and distraction, especially Facebook.
I cut my cable. That means no network news whatsoever. Not even Fox News. I get all the news I need on Free Republic, Twitter feeds and a few other select sites like TownHall and Reddit. So no more gratuitous Trump-bashing, no more shouting and no more constant negativity.
Finally, I have much more time for reading. Been reading 2-3 books a WEEK for the past year or so.
has there ever been a generation that HASN’T said that?
DITTO! I was taught by my parents that you have responsibilities and you give them 100% all the time. These little Millies will bail on their jobs or anything else the minute they have a little headache or sniffle or much more often if they just want to play or sleep in instead. They haven't got a friggin clue as to what real stress is.
