I don’t mention that old tech to most people, lest I appear as old as I am.
I think it went 2.8 to 14.4 to 28.8, to 36.3 to 56.6. 56 was so fast that not all telephone systems or ISPs could go the full speed.
Then, my neighborhood was one of the first in the country to get cable internet, around 1997 or 98. 3 or 4 mbps seemed like I’d died and gone to heaven.

I love Windows 7 and despise 10. I can’t get it to update on my tablet/laptop and I’ve just decided to let it be....even though it won’t show memes half the time. I’m on my old laptop with 7 and I’m so happy.
I’ve heard you can remove 10 and add 7. Anybody know how to do that if you don’t have the original disk?

I don’t remember that one. I had one of the early fax modems, and faxed from my Mac 165c beginning around 1994. Didn’t use Windoze until 1999.
